i had a delightful stay at the antelope, as it was just a short walk away from cyfarhfa park and cyfarhfa castle, making my city strolls easy and enjoyable. The friendly staff made me feel right at home throughout my visit.

The room felt cozy with thoughtful decor throughout, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The bar area had a great vibe, ideal for a nightcap after your adventures.

Wi-Fi signal barely existed, rendering it impractical for anything requiring connection. The single bathroom shelf could use an upgrade for toiletries, and the need for more plug sockets is evident. with a kettle and fridge running, there's barely any room for charging devices. Concerns about car security lingered due to a vehicle theft on-site during my stay, though I understand this isn’t the hotel's fault.

Breakfast was a treat, with generous servings cooked perfectly, although the sausages could be improved. The atmosphere in the bar was lively, and the hosts were warm and welcoming, making sure we felt right at home.

My only slight reservation was about the public car park at the rear. with all my kit in tow, I preferred the locked gate solution, just for peace of mind in a new town.

everything was amazing at the antelope! the room was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. i loved how close it was to local shops. claire and neil were incredibly welcoming and even went out of their way to prepare a breakfast-to-go for my early trip into the brecons. it really made my weekend easy and enjoyable.
